Between the Winter Olympics and the 24-hour information cycle, we’re listening to so much about Russia at the moment. (And then, after all, there’s the a lot expected upcoming go back [finally!] of The Americans.) Whatever your perspectives could also be on curling or election rigging, as somebody who grew up beneath the spectre of the previous Soviet Union, for me it’s all slightly a lot on occasion. Nevertheless, I harbor a unusual fascination with all issues Soviet, together with the heartbreaking tale of Soviet spacedog Laika, who become the primary animal to orbit the Earth, in 1957. (Sadly, Laika’s go back to Earth used to be by no means deliberate for, and she died on her challenge.) Not that they’re a fitting-enough tribute, however those Laika Spacedog graphic tees from Soviet Visuals are lovely cool. If the rest, they’d function a dialog piece to percentage her tale with those that aren’t acquainted with it. (Holy cow, this has roughly become a bummer of a publish, hasn’t it?) The Laika designs are to be had on tees and tanks. Check them out at Soviet Visuals.
